The Internet Brings Education Home for Everyone

Geoffrey Kaye.

Advances in the technology of the Internet have lead to the possibility of real-time collaborative and managed events which bring distance education within the reach of anyone who has access to the internet. Web conferencing through the use of VoIP technology has lowered the cost of global communication. This in particular has been beneficial to those, especially in under-developed countries, not fortunate enough to be able to attend fee-paying courses. It is particularly useful in delivering services to rural and remote areas.
