Learning to Solve Problems by Visualization of Plans and Sub-Plans: Problem, Plan, and Visualization

Learning and problem solving can be improved when a problem and its solution are visually broken down (decomposed) into plans and sub-plans, and then integrated. A plan is an abstraction that visually provides a solution to a problem or to a sub-problem representing a problem from the macro level down to the micro level. The process of solving a problem by visualizing plan decomposition and then plan integration is demonstrated in VPE – Visual Plan Environment.

Dr. Alireza Ebrahimi is a Professor of Computer Science and Management Information Systems. He developed a visual language known as VPCL and currently published a two-volume programming textbook, "C++ Programming Easy Ways".
