Recording of Child Perception for Television in their Specific Paintings

As theoretical field we use visual intelligence, visual literacy, semiotics of icon and pedagogic and visual education.

Our research aim is to elucidate the 'viewers', the way the children in preschool receive the visual messages and the way they reproduce them.
Preschool children and child painting can be considered as a special field in visual intelligence and visual literacy.

The sample of the research is original collection-from kindergartens in Kastoria and Florina in North Greece. The topic for drawing was given as 'Draw the Television'.

The sample will be analyzed using the method of Kress-reading images- in the field of social semiotics.

Paraskevi Golia  (Greece)



Paraskevi Golia is teacher in Primary Education. She has studied Pedagogic at the University of Salonica. She attended Postgraduated Studies in Pedagogic- Humanities and Historical Studies at the same University. She is currently a candidate doctor in Educational Politics at the same University and she is assistant in teaching Modern History. She has published several papers in Greek and European scientific journals about pedagogic and educational software in education.


Ifigenia Vamvakidou  (Greece)

Ifigenia Vamvakidou has studied Modern History and Philosophy of History at the University of Salonica. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Modern History of Greece at the same University and attended Postgraduated Studies in Philosophy of History at the same University. She is currently a lecturer at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she teaches Modern History, Cultural Studies and History of Art and Education. She has published several papers in Greek and European scientific journals about intercultural teaching of history and History of Art. She is the writer of the book in greek: Thraces in 1821 and the artistic monuments as historical sources.


Elena Zigouri  (Greece)



Elena Zigouri, date of birth: 1962. Teacher of Primary Education. Graduate of Pedagogic Academy Thessaloniki in 1982, graduate of Teacher Training Institute ''Dimitris Glinos'' and Graduate of Pedagogic Department of Education of Aristotle University Thessaloniki in 2001. MS in faculty of Education, Pedagogic Department of Florina, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, subject: ''Evaluation of the Educational Environmental Programs: an empirical research for the West Macedonian programs (1997-2001) and model application''. Member of the pedagogical team of the Environmental Educational Center of kastoria, 1998-2000. She is currently headmistress of the 3rd Primary School in Kastoria.
