Technology Integration as a Transformation Catalyst & Tool

Session Summary
In education technology is seen from a variety of perspectives – ranging from opportunity to bothersome inevitability to embodiment of evil. How we view technology’s potential and how invite colleagues to discuss and explore its use in meaningful applications is vital. This session discusses a range of technologies and their role in transforming teaching and learning. Appropriate for educators and administrators.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
· Use at least one technology new to them
· Identify potential uses and applications of technology in their own teaching/learning environments
· Describe technology’s transformative effect on teaching and learning

Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning for 2 years at Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary, taught 13 different courses during the 20+ years of teaching in higher education. A major interest is integration of technology in education and social work practice.
