This paper will provide an analysis of a range of national and international approaches to the inclusion of essential cross curriculum learning within the formal curriculum frameworks and documents. At the centre of the exploration will be the identification of skills and capabilities presented in new curriculum for the future. The Essential Learnings, a new feature of the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability Framework, will be detailed as one means of equipping diverse learners for diverse futures. |
