Abstract

Cherrybrook Technology HS is a comprehensive co-ed high school in Sydney Australia, with an international reputation and a high NESB (Non English speaking background) student population.
This workshop will look not only at theory and practice behind implenmentation of international perspectives in the school curriculum, but also the ways in which strategic planning will change according to situations faced by individaul achools. the workshop will take a practical approach and allow participants to examine ways in which languages, literacy, multicultural education, cross-cultural training and ESL can combine to promote positive attitudes within the whole school community.
The author is an experienced teacher and former consultant who has worked in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Australia.
