Learning to Dance on a Moving CarpetJulie MacDonald AbstractLearning to dance on a moving carpet is a mere metaphor for a group of NESB jobseekers who have had to make new meaning of their role in the Australian work force in a time of rapid change. This paper aims to provide a brief overview of how the Multiliteracies Framework has been applied to an employment induction course which ran for 20 weeks from January to July this year. Throughout the paper, I will endeavour to show how I have applied the principles of the New London Group (NLG) to this project, and discuss some of the key issues and difficulties that have arisen when engaging the Multiliteracies pedagogy with the course program planning of the Employment Induction Course.
